Join our team in Berlin!

Project Duty Station: Berlin, ERIAC Office
Duration: minimum 3-month commitment, part-time (4 hours/day) possible
Deadline for applying: May 24, 2024

Are you passionate about shaping the future of contemporary art and cultural representation? RomaMoMA invites individuals with a keen interest in art, culture, and social discourse to join us in our collaborative reflection on the creation of a future Roma Museum of Contemporary Art.

RomaMoMA is a visionary project initiated by the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC) and OFF-Biennale Budapest. Our aim is to foster dialogue among local and international artists, cultural experts, social scientists, and the broader community, envisioning a space that celebrates Roma arts and artists.

As an intern with RomaMoMA, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in diverse tasks, gain practical experience in organizing exhibitions, providing guided tours, and learn various aspects of international cooperation. From assisting in institution-building to participating in program coordination, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the trajectory of this groundbreaking project.

We’re looking for motivated individuals with a background in arts and culture, social sciences, or international relations. Fluency in German is an asset. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, along with a commitment to diversity and equal opportunities.

This internship offers a unique chance to work in a multicultural environment, contributing to the creation of a space that redefines representation and challenges stereotypes. Candidates of Roma origin are particularly encouraged to apply.

Please submit your up-to-date CV and a letter of motivation (max. 500 words) to eriac(at)eriac(dot)org.

Join us in shaping the future of contemporary art and cultural heritage!

Financial: Volunteer position, expenses to be covered by the volunteer or related institution (there is a possibility for obtaining a consultancy status with ERIAC, following the 3-month internship period)
