Teachers from the Academy of Anti-Discrimination Education visit ERIAC

On October 10, a group of 35 teachers from Poland, taking part in the second edition of the Academy of Anti-Discrimination Education, which has been ongoing since January 2018, has visited ERIAC as part of the educational program. The project of the Academy of Anti-Discrimination Education is organized by the Jewish Center in Oświęcim, the Museum of the History of Polish Jews and the Foundation in Dialogue.

During the visit, ERIAC staff presented the history of ERIAC, its mission and activities, and in particular, the work focusing on history and commemoration. Following an introduction and a tour of the current exhibition “(Re)Conceptualizing Roma Resistance”, the participants discussed the importance of inclusion of Roma histories into the curriculum of formal education.
