ERIAC Collaborates with Rolling Film Festival to Celebrate Contemporary Romani Filmmaking

The European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC) is pleased to announce its collaboration with the upcoming edition of the Rolling Film Festival in Kosovo, one of the most important cultural platforms in the region dedicated to Roma storytelling, representation, and intercultural dialogue through cinema.

As part of the collaboration, ERIAC will present a selection of Romani short films from its AMARO KINO project, alongside a series of panel discussions and public conversations focused on contemporary Romani filmmaking, representation, audience development, and the growing visibility of Romani filmmakers within the international film landscape.

Founded in 2009, the Rolling Film Festival has become an important meeting point bringing together filmmakers, audiences, artists, and cultural professionals through carefully curated film programmes that challenge stereotypes and celebrate the diversity and richness of Roma stories from around the world.

Through this partnership, ERIAC and the Rolling Film Festival aim to continue creating spaces for exchange, visibility, and collaboration between Romani filmmakers, cultural institutions, and wider audiences. The collaboration also reflects a shared commitment to strengthening contemporary Romani cinema and supporting new generations of filmmakers and audiovisual creators across Europe.

AMARO KINO, developed by ERIAC, focuses on the circulation and promotion of contemporary Romani films through festival collaborations, screenings, and curated film programmes presented internationally.

More information about the festival programme and related events will be announced soon.
