Diaspora Europe Opening

On 10 December 2020, the International Human Rights Day, we opened the Diaspora Europe Festival via livestream at

Volksbühne Berlin with the ceremony for the Franco-German Prize for Human Rights. The Roma components of the Diaspora Europe Festival were curated by the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture as part of the Germany’s Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
During the day, also the Sinti_ze Jazz Concert was recorded and the exhibition Family Archives, displayed at Volksbühne´s Glaspavillon and on view until 7 January 2021, simbolically opened by Volksbühne and ERIAC teams. On 11 December an additional concert, the solo guitar improvisations by Ferenc Snétberger, was recorded too.
The entire Sinti_ze Jazz concert and Ferenc Snétberger concert will be broadcasted on 27.01.2021 – Day of Remembrance of the Victims of National Socialism – via the Volksbühne website, and additionally shared by ERIAC’s social media channels.
