ERIAC Welcomes Tetiana Storozhko as History and Commemoration Section Coordinator
ERIAC is pleased to announce that Tetiana Storozhko has been appointed as the new Thematic Section Coordinator for History and Commemoration, succeeding Gopalas Michailovskis. We sincerely thank Gopalas for his dedication and valuable contribution to the development of the Section and ERIAC’s work.
Thematic Section Coordinators play a vital role in supporting ERIAC’s mission and strengthening engagement across our membership community. They foster dialogue and cooperation among members, encourage active participation within their respective thematic fields, and contribute to advancing ERIAC’s strategic priorities.
Acting as a bridge between ERIAC’s management, the membership community, and the ERIAC Barvalipe Academy, the Coordinators facilitate meetings, gather feedback, and support collaborative initiatives that strengthen ERIAC’s work across Europe.
We warmly welcome Tetiana to this role and look forward to working together.

Tetiana Storozhko is a Roma civic leader, researcher, and educator from Ukraine with over 17 years of experience in human rights advocacy, remembrance work, and community development. She serves as the Head of the NGO TENET – Center for Social Transformations and coordinates the Roma Youth Coalition in Ukraine.
With a master’s degree in history, her research focuses on Roma memory, remembrance practices, and the development of the Roma civic movement in Ukraine. She initiated the Digital Roma Archive (DROMA), leading extensive fieldwork to document historical materials and testimonies, and is currently a researcher in the international ROCIT project at the Witold Pilecki Institute, examining the impact of war, displacement, and structural inequalities on Roma communities.
Tetiana has been actively involved in remembrance education since 2014 through the Dikh he na Bister initiative and has contributed to the development of educational materials on the history of the Roma genocide, including the “Memory Ambassadors” manual. She also integrates artistic and public history approaches into her work, curating exhibitions and cultural projects that connect memory, identity, and social change.
A 2023 fellow of the UN OHCHR Minorities Rights Fellowship Programme and a member of the Council of Europe Trainers Pool, Tetiana joins ERIAC as Thematic Section Coordinator for History and Commemoration, promoting remembrance as a tool for human rights advocacy, civic participation, and empowerment.
