German official working since 1996 for EU Commission, between 2000 and 2014 responsible for integration of Roma in new Member States and Western Balkans, preparation and organisation of three European Roma Summits; frequent contacts with (Sinti and) Roma artists (mainly musicians) all over Europe, participation in many festivals (Romani Art Festival Cluj Napoca, Sziget, Balkan Trafik in Brussels etc). Myself I am also active (painting, playing several instruments – violon, piano, orgue – and singing since more than 50 years in semi-professional choirs in German and Belgium).
