CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: MEDIA MENTORING PROGRAM FOR ROMA PROFESSIONALS FROM THE WESTERN BALKANS SIX AND TÜRKIYE REGION
The European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture Serbia (ERIAC Srbija) is pleased to announce the Media Mentoring Program for Roma professionals, designed to foster collaboration between Roma media professionals and mainstream media outlets. This unique opportunity aims to develop high-quality media content that amplifies Roma voices, challenges stereotypes, and promotes a more inclusive media landscape.
Program Objectives:
Program Overview: Seven Roma media professionals from the Western Balkans Six and Türkiye region will be selected for a two-month mentorship. Each participant will be paired with a mentor from a mainstream media outlet. Mentors will provide guidance throughout the program, helping participants produce professional content that promotes positive narratives about Roma communities and challenges stereotypes. Participants will gain hands-on experience and insight into mainstream media workflows, with weekly check-ins for progress updates and peer-to-peer learning opportunities. Selected participants will receive a subsistence allowance in the amount of 1400 EUR (total gross amount covering two months) to cover living expenses during the mentoring period.
