Professor Dr Colin Clark teaches Sociology and Social Policy at the University of the West of Scotland. He stays in Glasgow and is a Board Director for the Coalition for Racial Equality and Rights and a Trustee of Romano Lav (Roma Voice). Colin also acts as a research adviser for the Scottish Human Rights Commission, the Traveller Movement and the Advisory Council for the Education of Romanies and other Travellers. Colin has researched and published widely in the field of Romani Studies and has supervised and examined several PhD students in this discipline area. He also co-edits the journal Romani Studies and acts as an adviser to the Scottish Government. Colin is from a Scottish Traveller background, on his mother’s side of the family (the extended Robertson family of Aberdeenshire, Scotland). He tweets as: @profcolinclark.
